Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program
in Meridian, ID
The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (AIOP) at Cottonwood Creek is a structured, short-term treatment program designed for adolescents ages 12-17 who struggle with mental health challenges. AIOP is for young adults who are at risk of hospitalization or are in need of a more intensive level of therapy than traditional counseling. Adolescents in our IOP benefit from the structure that comes with being in intensive therapy while remaining at home, in school and a part of the community during treatment.
Our program uses evidence-based education with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing) and DBT-informed (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to support patients and their families.
The treatment team, including board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists and clinically licensed therapists, will develop a plan for each child that takes into account their particular needs, goals and strengths. Treatment in the AIOP includes individual, group and family therapy. Parents or caregivers are an essential part of ensuring positive outcomes and will be included in each step of the treatment process.
