Inpatient Services

Cottonwood Creek Behavioral Hospital provides behavioral health services for high-acuity and complex-need patient populations in Idaho.

Our 92-bed inpatient hospital supports adolescents 12-17, and adults 18 and older struggling with mental health crises. More specifically, we help to stabilize and keep individuals safe when they’re experiencing active thoughts of harming themselves, harming others, active psychosis or are gravely disabled due to their mental health.

Our average length of stay is 7-10 days.

When in our care, patients will be assessed and treated by an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatry, social services, nursing, pharmacy and dietary services. Together with the patient, we develop a comprehensive, person-centered treatment plan, and rigorously work to stabilize, support and effectively discharge patients to outpatient care. Patients are encouraged to actively participate in their care and attend groups and community activities.
